Apparently I need a home too. And I am declawed and have long hair. That's not true! I have claws!!! (okay, nails. But I've been known to scratch)
x) That's funny. Your Jewish? I have been wanting to learn more about Judism (is that right) I think it sounds very interesting....
Haha, Turtle! Maybe I'll adopt you and re-claw you. xD
Yep, I'm Jewish (it's actually spelled Judiasm.) I think the stories are interesting, and so are all the religious ones. I'm really interested in Buddhism...who can't love the Buddha? ;)
IM: I am to! I also am very interested in hinduism. Their version of the zodiac is shockingly accurate.
Oh yeah. And their religious pictures and jewelry and everything is so beautiful.
liltomboyblue11;): I recommend the All-Of-A-Kind Family books, by Sidney Taylor, also Danny Loves A Holiday likewise by Sidney Taylor if you're interested in Judiasm. They're sories about Jewish families, so they're fun AND educational.
And funny story related to Judiasm:
Once in an airplane, a guy was trying to watch the movie being shown on the screen on the back of the chair in front of him. The only problem was, there was a Jewish man in that seat and he was praying. I don't mean praying is bad, but the Jewish people rock back and forth when they pray. So he rocked and he rocked and he rocked so fast that the guy behind him couldn't see the movie!!
Hey Nellie....That's not a normal thing for Jewish Pray-ers to do. (Not that I'm very Jewish, don't do synagogue or hebrew school or anything). I know Quakers (Type of Christian-not the Chewy bars) shake when they pray.
I think that guy was prolly just kind of wierd...but funny story. xD
IM: Yeah, I love the artwork. I have a very nice print Sarasvati, who is a goddess whom I have always been partial to. My dad and I have a tradition, that every year I make him at least one Sarasvati picture a year. I have a friend who is Quaker, but not very religious. I also have a guy friend who goes to a Quaker private school but isn't even a member of any religion....
Nellie: that's funny! I know lot's of people with good airplane stories. I have a friend, (who is an adult) who was on a plane to Russia, and she asked the pilots if they would let her into the cock pit so she could see better. They let her, and then invited her to fly the plane!!! She actually did to! I think it's just such a good story!
The fact that you're Jewish should probably help with my trying to figure out your name, yes? =)
Is it a very obviously Jewish name, like, I don't know, Hannah? Or Naomi?
Yeah, uh.....my name isn't really Jewish at all. xD But call me Hannah if you like, it's a nice name.
Ooo, can I copy this meme?
Cool, you're Jewish! I really want to learn about Judaism, but I don't know any Jewish people, and reading stuff about it on the net is kinda boring.
